I have been working in the field of archaeology for the past 20 years, most of them in private practice.  I consider myself a generalist within Archaeozoology with a special interest in the utilisation of smaller animals.  I have a passion for science communication and public archaeology.

I have been involved in African archaeozoology for more than 15 years, with projects in South Africa, Botswana, Madagascar, Zambia, Egypt and Nigeria. I mainly work on assemblages that date to the last 2000 years.

I have been involved in archaeology and archaeozoology for 27 years, with projects mainly in South Africa ranging from the Stone Age through to the present. I have a keen interest in archaeozoology, especially indigenous sheep and goat breeds from southern Africa. I am also involved in training students in archaeozoology.

I have been employed at the National Museum, Bloemfontein since 1992 and worked as a research assistant in the Archaeology department until 2006. I transferred to the Florisbad Quaternary Research Department where I have been the collections manager up to the present. My field of interest is tortoise remains from archaeological deposits.

I have been in the archaeozoology field since 2012. Since then I have worked on various project from South Africa and Botswana. I have a special interest in domesticates, small mammals, utilisation of animals and the lack their off; as well as crocodiles.
